Clarence Mizuno
Clarence Tsuneo Mizuno, 86, of Hilo, died April 8, 2018, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Kapulena, he was retired from Firestone and was the proprietor of the former Tsuda Service Station.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.
He is survived by sons, Cy Mizuno and Dayn (Felyn) Mizuno of Hilo; daughter, Darlene Mizuno of Hilo; brother, Royden Mizuno of Hilo; sisters, Adeline Fujisawa and Minerva (Stanley) Fujisawa of Hilo, Margaret Gladys (Randall) La Riviere of Honolulu; numerous nieces and nephews.

Wayne Souza
Wayne David Souza, 68, of Papaaloa died April 4, 2018, at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Honokaa, he was a plumber and owner of Souza Repair and Plumbing, plumber for the former Hamakua Sugar Company, member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Friends may call 8:30-10 a.m. April 27 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Papaaloa for a 10 a.m. memorial Mass. Burial to follow at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
He is survived by wife, Violeta Souza of Papaaloa; daughter, Maricar Souza of Hilo; sons, Michael (Cecily) Souza of Papaaloa, Marvin (Betty Anzai) Souza of Hilo; brother, Michael (Verna) Souza, Jr. of Kalopa; sisters, Veronica Souza Gomera of Ookala, Joycelynn (Earl Asato) Embernate of Honolulu, Harriet Souza Tabac of Paauilo; seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, nieces and nephews.

Murao Suzuki
Mr. Murao “Mura” Suzuki, 85, of Paauilo, died Feb. 16, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born July 18, 1932, in Paauilo, he was a retired machinist from the Hamakua Sugar Company. He was a member of Kongoji Mission in Paauilo, the Paauilo Camp Kumiai, Hilo Lehua Bowling League, and a U.S. Army veteran and fought in the Korean Conflict.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. April 28 at the Paauilo Kongoji Mission Church in Paauilo for an 11 a.m. memorial service. The family requests casual attire.
He is survived by two nephews; three nieces; one sister-in-law.

Lillian Kuwahara
Lillian “Leilani” Chow Kuwahara, 92, of Hilo died April 16, 2018, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a retired medical office secretary and member of Heritage Christian Fellowship and University Heights Kumiai.
Friends may call 10-11 a.m. April 27 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for an 11 a.m. funeral service. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire.

Sadami Fukushima
Mr. Sadami “Lefty” Fukushima, 99, of Hilo, died April 4, 2018, in the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born April 13, 1918, in Hilo, he was a retired carpenter and member of Hilo Meishoin Buddhist Temple and Hawaii Carpenters Union.
Private services held. No flowers or koden.
He is survived by daughter, Laraine Heirakuji of Hilo; sons, Calvin (Susan Nawatani) Fukushima of Kaneohe and Harvey (Tracey) Fukushima of Hilo; sisters, Chiyoko Sato of Hilo and Michie (Hisashi) Ikeda of Honolulu; one sister-in-law; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nephews and nieces.
